Mr. Laurent Hebert founded Chateauguay Industrial Supplies 36 years ago. The business was started in his garage. He later relocated to boulevard d'Anjou, then moved on the main street of Chateauguay. The name was changed to Quincaillerie Industrielle Chateau inc. When too little space became a factor, they moved to the industrial park in 1986.
Without having someone to take over the company, Mr Hebert sold his company in 1991 to his two employees, Stéphane Menard, and Ken Ireland, who became equal partners in the business. In 1996, 2000 square feet were added to the premises. In the fall of 1998, Stéphane and Ken bought the facade of 250 boul. Ford to expand the business in order to better serve their growing customer base. In 2002, the business was bought by Boulonnerie de Montréal, a leader in the distribution of bolts in Quebec. Finally, Quincaillerie Industrielle Chateau was bought by and became a division of Amcan-Jumax Inc. in 2018.
As its name suggests, Chateau Industrial Hardware is not a normal hardware store. It includes a service counter for entrepreneurs as well as a store for industrial customers. Its specialty: screws, bolts, and anchors of all kinds. It also sells all related products such as abrasives and tools, including hand tools, corded and cordless tools as well as cutting oils. Chateau also offers machining service for threaded products. We are distributors and importers of a wide variety of brands of pneumatic, power, hand, and blow tools, to name a few.
